Levi’s follows up its recent Star Wars collection with a new release surrounding J.J. Abrams’ upcoming film, The Rise of Skywalker. For this drop, we find the American clothing company paying homage to one of the franchise’s most beloved characters, Chewbacca.
Crafted under Levi’s Authorized Vintage line, the limited edition trucker jacket features Chewie’s face on the back, made by hand using a special embroidery technique. The design references a still image of Chewbacca from the first movie in the franchise, 1977’s Star Wars: A New Hope. The embroidery is applied to vintage Levi’s trucker jackets made in the ’80s and ’90s.
Levi’s Chewbacca trucker jacket is scheduled to release in an extremely limited number of just 60 units, launching at select Levi’s stores and online December 20, the same day The Rise of Skywalker premieres in theaters. The one-of-a-kind garment will retail for approximately $615.
